Hillcrest School gained Training School status in Spring 2004. This is a title given to schools who have shown a high level of expertise and commitment to the training and professional development of teachers, trainee teachers and support staff as well as contributing to the raising of standards through school-to-school support.
In 2012 we set up ‘Target Education Alliance’ (TEA) to support schools with high quality Continuing Professional Development (CPD). TEA forms the business arm of Hillcrest. Our vision is to support pupils from schools within our reach to ensure they have the best learning and teaching experience through quality practitioners and schools that are led and resourced to high standards. We work alongside inspectors, head teachers and Teaching Schools to be able to do this. Pupils can benefit from teachers who are constantly updating their knowledge and actively enhancing their teaching skills. Hillcrest will continue to build on its close relationships with our primary schools, post-16 providers and higher education institutions through the work of TEA.
